Cheery Lynn Designs #95 Frame it.

I did this card for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge, Frame it!
I used all Cheery Lynn Dies for this card. The oval for the butterfly was hand cut (there was an oval line on the stamp that I cut on).
I Used metallic purple floss and threaded the border, tying all 4 pieces together to make a frame for the rectangle frame die.  I used a small image so that the rectangle frame was shown to it's best advantage.  Cheery Lynn corners and flourishes finished this card.

ODBDSLC168

This is such a lovely sketch from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I used some wonderful paper by SEI on this card and the stamps are by Our Daily Bread.  Copics were used to color and Rhinestones added.  The paper is partly glazed and partly glittered so it has a lot of sparkle in it.  The orange paper is a shimmer paper (?) not sure whose paper it is.

Wee Angel

This little Wee angel is so sweet...she is just adorable!  I used an embossing folder from Sizzix and die cut a shaped hole then layered my image under neath..  The extra little frills on the right side are Memory Box dies and the snowflakes are from Cheery Lynn Designs.
Copic Markers were used to color.  Used glitter glue and glitter powder for the snow and snowballs.

ROAD TRIP!

I had my husband pick out the stamps for this card since it was suppose to be a masculine card done in light blue, cajun red and dark blue.  Easy to pick the stamps, not so easy to put them all together and color!! LOL!
What a funny guy! He loves road trips to the southwestern states like Arizona, Utah and Colorado.  We always go to red rock country!!
The words are white Brilliance on acetate and I can't believe I got this picture without light bouncing off that acetate!
The stamps used: StampFrancisco-cloud (lg), Sweet Impressions- cloud (sm), Beeswax-cactus, Stampa Rosa- Canyon, & Great Impressions- car/words.
The sign was hand drawn and cut out.

Black-eyed Susan

This is a Serendipity stamp stamped on the new Bo Bunny fall paper! I used some lace, a border die (by Cheery Lynn Designs) and ribbon to embellish.
The image is colored with Copics.

AFRICAN SAFARI

Here is an African Safari in the making!! Our challenge was to pick a place for a tour and I pick here! Made some of the charms with ivory shrink plastic...remember that stuff!?!
I used several stamps for this card, Beeswax, A Stamp in the Hand, Coronado Island, Limited Edition, JRL Designs and InkaDinkaDo.  Truthfully, I've had many of these stamps so long I'm not sure if the companies still exist but I think anything can be found on ebay now-a-days!
The images are colored with Copics. The card is almost a full 8 1/2 X 11 folded to 5 1/2 X 8 1/12.

Fabric in card making

Here are a couple cards I did using fabric.  One the first one above, I stamped directly onto the fabric with some large Stampendous floral stamps and cut them out (the material I used is behind the card). I painted the chip board mat with gesso and green, blue, & tan acrylic paints in a random fashion, not trying to hide brush strokes or blend.  I then sprayed the background with yellow, orange, & blue ink.  I used a matte collage glue and pasted down my fabric flowers then went over everything.   As you can see, I glued a few sequins and beads on around the flowers.
The bottom card I used the fabric as a background.  I plastered the card stock with Mod Podge and then set my fabric down, wrinkling as I went. I then coated it VERY well with Mod Podge and let it dry.  I colored the image (from Northwoods) with Copics to match the fabric. Of course, when I saw the fabric this scene popped into my head...what else could it be with fabric like that!!?
I used glitter glue (Stickles) on the pine trees and ground then used white liquid pearls on some branches of the Oak? trees.  Before either was dry, I added a coat of Prisma  ultra fine powered glitter.
The corners are a die from Cheery Lynn Designs and the white on white pine bough card stock used for the corners, oval behind words and image is from SEI.  Joy and Peace is Northwoods.

BEADED CHRISTMAS ANGEL, CCEE1334, A.R.T. CHALLENGE #11

I did this card for the SCS beaded card and also for the CCEE group for Angels.  She is colored with Copics.  I used a die I got today from Cheery Lynn Designs,  used seed beads for the berries in the garland and larger wired beads as an embellishment on the green knotted ribbon.  The stamp is from Stamps Happen (I've had her for a very long time).

Strawberry Tea Party

This is an adorable image from Kraftin' Kimmie. It was a perfect choice for my Strawberry Tea Party Challenge.

Sketch challenge SCS

This is a card I did for a sketch challenge using the new Bella Blvd paper we got at The Cat's Meow today!
The image is a Sara Kay design from Stampavie.  She is colored with Copic Markers.
I really had fun with this image.  She is so cute and the papers are so little girl!  (well, the cloud paper could definitely be little boy as well).

Wee color challenge SCS

This is a little Wee stamp.  Her shirt and shorts are paper pieced (and the little strips on her boots).  Her fur trim is fun flock.  This was a color challenge from SCS. The colors were Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil, Pool (something), and Island Indigo with a dessert of using something geometric.  (She has squares).
Flowers are per made but stacked and some were sprayed to make the right color.  Rhinestones were used in their centers.
Spellbinders and Memory Box made the dies used.

Color Throwdown #255

This little one by Elizabeth Bell (through Whimsy Stamps), is colored with this weeks colors .  The Melon Mambo has pink glitter glue on it as well (the dots on her dress).  I used Spellbinder dies for the oval and the rectangle behind her.
The rose die is from Cheery Lynn.
This image is colored with Copics (but I have a color swatch book from Stampin' Up! to see what the colors should be).

CHEERY LYNN CHALLENGE # 93 FUN WITH LETTERS

I used some letters from my Cricut and ran them through the Xyron 250 then before taking them off I used clear emobssing fluid on them and sparkly white powder and heat set. When I pulled them off the backing they kept some of the crystals around the edges.
I used two Cheery Lynn Design round doily dies and a corner die.
I also ran the purple through with an embossing folder.  There is snow large glitter added as well.

ODBDSLC165 SKETCH #1

This is a sketch card done for Our Daily Bread.  It is really simple but the verse and paper are beautiful!
The background paper is from S.E.I. and the stamp is Our Daily Bread.  I embossed the verse and used Spellbinders dies to die cut.  The two yellow strips have edges in pink done with a border punch from Stampin' Up!  I included some tiny butterflies to add interest and a stick pin (colored with Copic Markers because it was clear), also three half pearls up top.

This card was a winner at Our Daily Bread this week!

safe harbor/ and other blown ink cards

This is a card done for a challenge at SCS.  It was to blow ink on the paper.  I did this one with alcohol inks on glossy paper.  The ink did not move as far but I liked the results.  Kinda sunset looking.
I have a stamp from Hero Arts the I used upside down for this card because it reminds me of sailboats in a harbor silhouetted at sunset.  See what you think!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Hello friends!  This little lady is from Krafin' Kimmie Stamps.  She is so cute!! Summer is coming to a close (I hope) so thought I would do a few more cards with these bright summer colors!!

COLOR THROWDOWN #254

Stamped the background twice, once in lime green Brilliance (cheesecloth background stamp by Impression Obsession) Then stamped waves over it in SkyBlue Brilliance (by Judi-Kins).   Mounted on paper from Paper Adventures then on Champagne shimmer card-stock (looks like Crumb Cake to me!).   I used the Paper Adventures paper again for the strips in front.  The Mermaid and You're a Star are part of a clear set of mermaids from Penny Black.   The yellow doily is made with a die from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I happen to have some tiny star fish and shells.  I made the "seaweed" from a mesh bag (Avocados were in). and used some green and white acrylic  paint on it then shrank it some with my heat tool.
She is colored with Copic Markers and has Stickles on her tail and on the anemone.

A.R.T. CHALLENGE #8 SENDING HUGS

Ahh, love these little sympathy bugs by Wee Stamps (Whimsy).  Today I used something I haven't used in probably 15 years...Mulberry paper!  Remember that stuff? You wet the edges and then tear away to create a soft edge.  I did that under the "Mint" green layer.  What a blast from the past!!
The dies are from Spellbinder with the exception of the little flourishes, they are from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I used Copic Markers to color these little guys. Everything is layered onto a "Black-cherry" card.
This card was featured on the Wee Stamps Facebook page 8-10-13.

HUMMER BY NORTHWOODS

Well, this photo doesn't show it well but the hummer has Wink of Stella on his head and throat...so shimmery! This challenge called for a feather, so, it's part of the embellishments! The dies are from Heartfelt Creation/Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn Designs.  I colored with Copics, the stitching on the circle around the hummer design is faux.

Uptown girl (doesn't it remind you of Larry Crowne?)

Isn't this uptown girl so cute!! Love it.  I used a Hero Arts arrow background stamp in Jade Brilliance. The Uptown Girl is from Stamping Bella down in Copics.
I used some yellow rick rack just for something extra!  Background paper is from Kiser Craft.

CHEERY LYNN CHALLENGE #91 HOT TIME IN THE SUMMER
